NATIONAL GARDEN SCHEME

NGSTo owners of small gardens:

Hopefully this website/this garden has proved to you that you do not need a great knowledge of plants or a large garden with superb flower beds and flowing lawns to join the National Garden Scheme; you just need a little imagination and somewhere for visitors to park their cars (even if it is only a quiet road like ours).

To owners of medium sized and large gardens:

No excuses, click here to learn more about the NGS.

Come on all garden owners, you know it’s what you really want to do and remember it is a much easier way to collect money for charity than running a marathon. Click here to learn more about the NGS.

To those of you who don’t own a garden or can’t be persuaded to open your garden under The National Garden Scheme:

Please visit as many NGS gardens as you can. Your visits will add to the amount the NGS can give to charities each year. The variety of gardens available to visit is amazing. In Hertfordshire alone you can visit gardens ranging from a garden like Pete’s Little Patch owned by somebody who doesn’t have a great knowledge of plants or design but has a good imagination and “feel” for a garden, to gardens of all sizes owned by knowledgeable and enthusiastic amateur gardeners, to gardens owned by highly qualified garden designers, right up to a garden owned by one the country’s top garden designers, winner of 9 Chelsea Gold Medals and 3 Chelsea “Best in Shows”. What more can you want? Click on the NGS Home Page link to find out more.
